Every American deserves the basic rights and protections enshrined in our Constitution without discrimination. Everyone should have access to the opportunity to build careers, raise families, and contribute to their communities in the same ways. 

Unfortunately, the Trump administration is rolling back protections, targeting transgender youth, and emboldening discrimination in every corner of our society. In East Tennessee, our LGBTQ+ neighbors are being told they don't deserve the basic rights and protections enshrined in our Constitution.

What I’ll work for in Congress to fix it:

• Eradicate discrimination in law, employment, housing, schools, adoption, and the tax code against LGBTQIA+ individuals

• Ban the harmful practice of conversion therapy

• Dedicate suicide-prevention resources to the LGBTQIA+ community
